Maui- Pacific Whale Foundation Whale watch

Each year from September to June Hawai'i is the home to Humpback whales. The Island is the primary place in the North Pacific where Humpback whales come from Alaska to mate, give birth and nurse their young.

We saw lots of activity on our tour. We saw a female with her calf and we saw large group of 4 males gather to pursue the female for mating .This competitive group displayed high energy behavior  as the strongest males strive to hold the closest positions to the females.
