Our little boy has now turned 3 years old and he is steadily turning into a proper little lad. He had been aware that his birthday was coming up soon, but was not sure when until the morning that Heather ran into our room and saw Finlay and then shouted "Finlay,Finlay, Finlay it's your Birthday, Birthday, Birthday!!!!" to which he replied"Me! My Birthday...today!!!" And that was the excitement starting for the rest of the day.
Finlay's favorite colour is orange, so the garbage truck and the orange balloons were a great success.
Once we opened the presents we had breakfast and spoke to Granny and Grandad who sang "Happy |Birthday" and then everything seemed to get a bit overwhelming and he cried because he thought that that was his birthday over. After explaining that it was going to be his birthday all day until it was dark he was happy to continue through his day.

We had a lovely picnic at Cascade ponds and the kids has lots of fun in the water.
And then a short little hike up to Cascade falls.
Then back home for pool and sand fun on the deck, a bar-b-que and of course
cake!!!
