For one of our last nights of the holiday we thought it would be a good idea to have a sunset cocktail whale watching tour, putting to the back of my mind the experience that we had last year. I was sure that Heather would be ok and we were looking forward to seeing some whales.
We got dressed up and looked forward to our evening.
However 15mins into the trip Heather did start to feel sea sick and went to the lower deck with James, I followed shortly afterwards with Finlay and we sat at the side of the boat, feeling a bit worse for wear.
We were successful at seeing the whales, and James and I sat there admiring the beautiful sunset with two nauseated kids on our lap.
At the point of our return, Heather seemed to improve, with the anticipation of returning to shore and percked up enough for a smile and a photo at the end of the evening. We will know better next time.
