So after our delayed trip home we still had enough time to prepare for Halloween. Earlier in the fall Heather and Finlay had enjoyed watching "The Wizard of OZ" . One of my old time favorite movies, one I used to watch every Christmas day afternoon. So here are the kids dressed as Dorothy and the cowardly lion. They enjoyed going round the houses early collecting a bag full of candy and then returned home to welcome the older kids at the door, admiring their costumes.
The following weekend we were sharply reminded that we were about to enter a Canadian winter and enjoyed a day at Moraine Lake road in Lake Louise for a xc ski. The kids started off well, then got towed part way up then they both enjoyed the long ski down to the truck for hot chocolate and snacks
