The obsession with poop continues....

After our fun day at the dragon boat festival and learning all about different kinds of animal poop, it seems that Heather's fascination with poop continues.
While we were relaxing one afternoon in Central park in Banff, listening to some big band music in the band stand, Heather was happily dancing away. The park had been freshly divotted or pronged to aireate the grass . These divots look alot like goose poop, but heather knows this. While dancing happily she stopped in her tracks, something caught Heather's eye, and apparently it wasn't a grass divot. Our observant girl had found the piece of Elk poop in amongst all the grass divots and she knew it was definitely poop of some animal.....to her mummy's apparent distaste !!!!!

Gone Fishin'

We spent a great weekend with our friends and the kids tried to go fishing...unfortunately there were no fish caught, only lots of gravel. So no fish to cook on the fire that night. However we had a great camp fire and the kids enjoyed the outdoors and the water.

Dragon Boat festival

Last weekend was the Dragon boat festival at Lake Miniwanka in Banff. However the main interest for heather was, again, the face painting. This time she wanted a dinosaur.

The were also other stalls of interest and Heather thoroughly enjoyed learning about the local wild life.

She held antlers and horns.

Came claw to claw with a bear paw.

and had great interest in the bear skull with the big sharp teeth.

There was also lots of fake poop to see and she kept bringing it to me and asking which animal the poop was from.
