Finlay is now eight months old weighs 14 lb 8 oz and has now got the hang of sitting unsupported for more than 10 seconds at a time before falling over. It happened all of a sudden, one day he couldn't do it, the next he could.
He has been quite the wee trooper in the past couple of weeks. I stopped breast feeding about the week before and then he got sick. Couldn't keep any milk down. Now the interesting thing is that the exact same thing happened to Heather when I stopped breast feeding her. May be a coincidence. They were both used to the bottle, but the transition onto exclusive formula seems to be a problem. Since talking to my doctor, it may be the iron content of the formula and also the iron content of baby cereal now that he has established his eating. However we got him straight onto the pedialyte stopped the milk and the solids, but it took him a week before he was back on track with his eating. During that same week he was cutting his two top teeth , now he has another two on the way,and then ended up with a cold. So all in all he had a rough week, but he was still full of smiles and giggles. Plus to top it off he did learn to sit by himself.
Heather is growing up fast and it caught me by surprise when I put her hair up in bunches just such a wee girl she is now.
